Well I checked that my multi-regional DVD player works just in case I decided to get it. Have you seen it yet? I saw most of it on youtube a while ago. I liked the opening 'Aliens' part and the showtunes bit while they were driving to their holiday. Fred's stake gun reminded me of the Ghostbusters proton packs.

Odd as there is one for the Big Top movie (a few weeks before Christmas). Perhaps it hasn't/isn't going to be released outside of region 1. And it's now on sale. Looks like it is another exclusive to the Sainsbury's supermarket chain in the UK (it 'accidentally' fell in the shopping trolley this afternoon).

I live near Heathrow airport so to any of you in the US if your local store has run out then it's just a brief 8 hour flight for you to pick up a copy.

Not a bad movie overall, but, the musical aspects just detract from the storyline. As a story, I enjoyed it. Animation was spot on. The Band getting duped, okay. Even the finish of the movie was way off center. It's a Rental. Send WB an email 'I like the idea of a musical, but, this one wasn't it!".

Didn't care for this one. I found the music to be average and the plot boring. Everything in this movie just fell flat for me.
It is slightly better than Phantosaur though.

Too much hatin on Phantosaur, but, they are opinions. Shaggy was channeling some Inner Bad@$$. What's MOST OVERLOOKED is they discovered a real 'Monster' a preserved Dinosaur. All in all, I liked it, but, if you saw my thread of different 'Tiers' of SDMovies, it's Second Tier for me. I always ask "How Close is it to Arabian Nights!?" Music of the Vampire was getting that feeling, though still not nearly there.

i agree. scooby doo is many things, a musical it is not. vampire ranks near the bottom for me.

I thought this was a refreshing change. Loved the musical aspect. The realistic computery imagery thrown in with traditional cartoon style seemed odd at times though.

Originally I wasn't to thrilled on this one, but i admit repeat factor has increased it in my mind. Maybe i was a little too expecting of "musical Scooby" to appreciate it as much first go-round.

I know my son has watched it a number of times so from that point of view it si a winner. This one isn't too bad though overall I'm not a fan of musicals, plus Daphne was a bit of a bit*h towards Velma when she rescued her, under the influence or not that was way below the belt.

Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood was the right way to do a Scooby-Doo musical, and now we have the DEAD wrong way. ENJOY!
