I'd like another film with Madelyn in but with a bit more Velma/Madelyn interaction.

Not sure, sure you can look hard and find some with Velma and Hot Dog Water, but, it's not gonna be official or pc, loll

well we might get that in the future, if you take away madelyn puppy dog love a bit towards shaggy it would be fun. not sure how likely that is though.

I recently re-watched this movie, and it was really cool! I would have enjoyed it better though if it were in widescreen...

Watched it!! Loved it!! Awesome movie! Though for some reason I felt really disappointed with this villain "un-masking". Lol, I really thought part of the legend about the Gryphon had meaning... My fault Shaggy tried his best to be brave, for himself and his friends! It was really nice!!

I feel like this is one of the most beloved Scooby Doo movies, but this is not one of my favorites at all and I find it very overrated. I got a little bored with this one actually. Hate to be a contrarian, but this one is probably closer to the bottom of my list than the top

Just realized that I'd never written anything here. This movie is enjoyable and holds up, even without widescreen (DVD) and the fact that the Harry Potter craze is finally over. Perhaps it actually makes it even more enjoyable now that I don't feel like I need to compare it to other franchises. Shaggy does refer to, "that English boy with glasses" though, hahaha. Made me laugh.

Watched the move last night and decided to share my thoughts here. So I love this movie. I have since it's release (can't believe it's been 11 years, yikes). A lot of that probably has to do with my love of anything magic and fantasy related. And I like that a lot of the movies are basically Scooby's take on iconic films and franchises, with this being Scooby's take on a Harry Potter type thing. I love how magic is used in the movie, and how it all pertains to the plot. The tricks are entertaining to watch too. Another reason I love the movie is the theme of sibling relationships (Velma and Madelyn & Marlon and Whirlin). I have an older sister who I'm very close (and she also loves Scooby so we bonded over that growing up) with so I love seeing sibling relationships explored. I also really like Madelyn as a character. I wish we could see more of her, she's really interesting and entertaining. Her and Shaggy are really cute too. I liked Daphne's subplot of wanting to be less clumsy so she can impress Fred, and the payoff at the end with her being an magic assistant for Madelyn. The ending in general is just really great and elevated the movie for me. I also loved all the stuff with Shaggy and Scooby and basically them all laughing at the idea that they (especially Shaggy) are brave, because the culmination of it felt like a reminder that being brave isn't about not being scared - it's about doing stuff that scares you anyway. Which Shaggy and Scooby do all the time. So it was really nice to see that get explored in the movie, even if there wasn't exactly acknowledgement of that theme in the film. I LOVED the Lord Of The Rings reference, one of my favorite franchises ever and that moment in Fellowship is just so iconic. The monsters were fun to watch, I especially liked the Banshee. Honestly she was low-key terrifying. The Griffin was cool. So yeah in general I just really love the movie. It's not my absolute favorite but I think it might be in my top 10 or 15. A fun time. 9.75
