I was a big fan of johnny bravo at the time and when I saw the crossover i instantly loved it mainly for 3 things the joke about daphne and fred always splitting together , the awesomely catchy happy haunted funshine house song and lastly the unmasking jokes seriously i found it a great special and everytime , i think back to the 90s the crossover comes to mind i guess not everybody will like johnny bravo mainly for his narcissistic mannerisms but really he is just an idiot more than a downright sexist again another show that we will never see again thanks to the PC Brigade

Take THAT pc brigade! Also promotes female violence against men.

I thought this was funny!
favorite parts: - the aunt flirting with Shaggy (how 'bout it handsome? *shaggy gulps*) - How Daphne hated him... - ... and yet Velma liked him. - Speed buggy at the end - Daphne took the leadership role and split them up (johnny and shaggy, fred and scooby, velma and her, at first anyway). - They don't let Johnny in the van until he says spooky house
Not so good parts: - WTF with Fred winking at the screen? - Normal splitting up forumla (I dunno I think it would be hilarious to see Shaggy and Fred try to tolerate each other) - Shaggy and Johnny, I would have loved to see him with Velma who was taking a liking to him!
In all I love this special!

- WTF with Fred winking at the screen? It's a little humor for the grown-ups, like Fred's noticeable eye-rolling in the splitting up scene.

I liked it just too bad Hadley Kay didn't get to stay Scooby for longer than two JB episodes and a couple of promos. Kay sounded like Messick almost exactly (although slightly squeaky). Maybe Kay will get another chance if Welker decides to stop being Scooby at some point.

I enjoyed this a lot. I always liked Johnny Bravo and the cross-over with Scooby was fun. The way Johnny interacted with each member of the Gang made this a pretty entertaining episode. Pairing him with Scooby & Shaggy only made sense. Velma flirting with him lead to some amusing commercials Cartoon Network had years ago.
Most of the gags worked, and I thought they made this a nice tribute to the New Scooby Movies, instead of an all-out parody. The unmasking scene was pretty hilarious, with some callbacks to other Scooby villains.

I remember watching this as a kid and thinking that it was Johnny guest starring on Scooby-Doo, rather than the other way around. Ha ha.
Johnny Bravo was always one of my favorite shows as a kid. Something about Johnny's arrogance and bold approach to dating always struck me as funny, and the well-deserved beat-ups from the pursued females always landed for a good laugh from me. Agreed that something like this probably couldn't be made today, which is a shame. I think a premise like this could work, even with a tad more of a PC angle, and be just as funny... but that's not likely to happen anytime soon.
Over half a decade ago now (yikes!) before we cut our cable, I remember having recorded a Boomerang airing of this episode. Had completely forgotten about it, and thoroughly enjoyed watching it again almost as if it were for the first time. Maybe the humor isn't quite for everyone, but I found it very funny. And IMO, it rides that fine line of canon plausibility and parody quite well. The characters act fairly usually (apart from a few short gags) and the plot, while simplistic, really hits all of the Scooby tropes perfectly - the final unmasking being where it finally divulges into full parody, but also being my favorite scene!
Would love to see more things done in this vein from CN and Warners, albeit not in any directly canon capacity.

Really great episode here. Johnny Bravo is hilarious and all of the respectful-enough parodies of classic Scooby Doo made this really funny

So I was scouring the local library book sale and came across an AOL case full of Toon Tour Mysteries discs in it. I guess disc one has this episode on it, and I'm ecstatic. Really I just grabbed it because it because I saw Scooby, even remembering that most of the discs didn't really feature him at all. This is pretty neat and I had no idea that this was Heather North's last voicing as Daphne.
