I didn't mind the ending. As a fan of Code Lyoko, I have learned to see the good side of "Returning to the Past". Everything we saw happened and learned about the characters' personalities, interests, stories, etc, which is why I recognized the rewritten reality's worth. The gang is still from the original timeline that changed into the new one - and they did not lose their memories, which makes the aforementioned Return to the Past work. Furthermore, the new incarnations of the antagonists in the Nibiru Timeline are still the same characters. Sure, their negative characteristics aren't unbalanced anymore, but that does not mean they have become saints either. Not if Barty Blake has anything to say about it! Seriously, look at the way he treated his boring, underachieving daughters; poorly. The jocks were just nicer to Fred, but I don't think they are too fond of "geeks".
Crystal Cove may be a normal town now, but it is far from being perfect. I firmly believe that it does not take much to negatively influence humans in real life, so why would they be any different from us? All a villain has to do is manipulate his pawns' vices and virtues, and I can see that happening to the Gang's former enemies, again. Personally, I would enjoy a plot that involves the former bad guys regaining their memories. In conclusion, the ending not only had the gang create an alternate timeline that originated from the Nibiru one, but left the possibilities of more stories open for future writers.

I know what you mean.............. I agree with your thoughts as well on the episode- you make some very good points that I hadn't really thought about until now.

At least it wasn't all a dream.

Yeah, that would have been very disappointing in my opinion.

Well, I think they made the right decision.
1. Everyone would hate it if it was a dream or it was all a big con (at least I would) 2. Everyone had to die, otherwise it wouldn't be such an epic finale. 3. Everyone had to turn good, otherwise it would be really sad. 4. If they hadn't reversed time, Fred's real dad would be stuck looking like him and his real mum like old Daphne.
I think they made the best decision they could have.

I'm weirded out that my old posts about this going the way of Newhart disappeared. The Search function finally works, but no matter how far back I go I can't get my old Newhart posts. Wierd.
I knew something had to happen timeline wise, it was too obvious. Scooby doesn't allow for all this killing. Period. My real concern is that I don't want to see Scooby Doo starring in Sliders the Animated Series here, but, if they continue on their way, it's a logical conclusion.

perhaps the next series will ignore the events of this series, much like like most previous series ignored the series before it. I Mean How often has ant of the gang refered to the 13 ghosts era?

That about season 3 is really sad... But anyways, that episode, "Come Undone" as the final of the series gave me a bit of disappointment in the end. I completely loved it, but the whole idea about a perfect world...without mysteries...with everyone being useful and good... isn't the end I quite expected. I thought after the deafeat of the Evil Entity, that most things would go back to normal their way. Of course Having Cassidi back and Ric and Pericles being in the good side was a nice thing, but the lack of purpose for MI group to exist? Well at least they've been called all the way to Miskatonic University, and they might face some dangers along, but still... I hope everyone is ready for the season 3 scoob16 and I will be making!

I thought this was the perfect ending for the show. A lot fo fans think it was lame. Well, folks, what where you expecting? The destruction of the Evil Entity, and then everything would be just fine, in a destroyed universe, with only existants Scooby and the gang?
