Wow! What a series! I don't care what other series they make I honestly don't think they could ever top this one! *Spoilers* I was on the edge of my seat for this two part ending! It was exciting! Surprising! And relationships ended and began beautifully! Except for Scooby's love for Nova, that he seemed to have totally forgotten at the end. I wish so badly they would continue this series at least just one more season so that we could look at how the families really acted. It'd be great to see the Rodgers be proud of their son Shaggy. And of course who wouldn't love to see Fred and Daphne's wedding! (Especially the FraphneAddicts like myself) I'd also like to see Brad and Judy with a good relationship with Fred. Before watching it I realized that when Fred spoke with Mayor Jones in "Nightmare in Red" that it was more than likely the last time we'd ever see him. So when they brought him back for the ending I was SO happy. I LOVED THIS SERIES. And the next has some BIG shoes to fill in my opinion. I kinda feel lost without it now so a new Scooby something needs to come on for me to track! haha

i think eventually scooby will be given a permanent girlfriend. which will work fine as long as she is a balanced character and doesn't become a new Scooby Dee. this is twice now hes fallen in love with a girl dog only to find shes really an alein.

Very impressive conclusion. It ends basically with how Scooby Doo, Where Are You! begins, only with Harlan Ellison as the catalyst.

So I guess Daph isn't going to babysit the Mayor's & Sheriff's kids tomorrow being how the gang just drove off... Hope they can find a last minute replacement

So I guess Daph isn't going to babysit the Mayor's & Sheriff's kids tomorrow being how the gang just drove off... Hope they can find a last minute replacement Yep! Look's like Marci's on her own for that science project too. ;D This was one of the best done "bittersweet" endings that I've seen, and I'm not usually a fan of those. It was interesting that in saving the town the gang essentially sacrificied their own lives. Each of them got basically what they had wanted at one point (two parents, to be praised over one's siblings, a best friend, parental approval), but none of it really means anything to them because these aren't really their lives and they haven't got the memories of any of these events and people. For example there is zero bond between Fred and his biological parents despite them having the memories of raising him in this reality. All of Fred's memories of them are awful. Fred's emotional moment comes with "Mayor Dad" who is now his soccer coach but thinks of Fred as his son and special to him. Everyone is strangely oblivious to the fact that Fred is even named Fred Jones Jr. after said educator. Shaggy has no memories of winning cooking competitions, so what value is there to place upon his parents being proud of someone he doesn't see himself as being? Daphne wanted her parents to accept her for herself, and she looked more than a little guilty that it came at the cost of her sisters no longer being successful and happy. Velma's mother isn't going to be into spooky things or have a museum dedicated to the monsters that her daughter unmasked. Velma has a best friend in Marci, but again no memories of this long lasting friendship. Worst of all is the loss of the mysteries that gave their lives meaning. In return for all this their friends and family get to be happy in this new reality though. At the end they've forged a family where they feel that they belong, and they're setting out to find the mysteries that give their lives meaning.

This might make something i saw kicking around somewhere a while back more meaningful.
Scooby Doo: The Mystery Chronicles aka Scooby Doo: The Mister E Chronicles
Not going to out where it was but it suddenly makes alot of sense. I'd get someone in trouble if it turns out that's part of a grand plan. We shall see.

so the Mr E was ellison. not only does the gang have different lives, but the former bad guys have gone good in this timeline. pericles is the pet of Ricky and cassidy, who are married.

It goes further back. The artifact never existed, so history in their time line is changed for conquistadors , the Darrow Family, The Benevolent Lodge of Mystery, the Mystery Gang, etc. BTW, does anyone know if the names of the whole Benevolent Lodge were ever stated? scoobydoo.wikia.com/wiki/Benevolent_Lodge_of_Mystery

Such a great ending. It's like Scooby Doo meets Evangelion. I actually expected a "it was a dream" cop out, but I love the idea of the universe reset. It also completely makes sense as to why these guys would stay friends and keep trying to solve mysteries after going through the crystal cove stuff.
Did anybody also noticed how that they celebrated after defeating the Entity mirrored their celebration at the beginning of the very first episode?

Nova's speech at the beginning reminds me of the beginning of the film Dune.

Am so confused about the ending, so no one will remember any of this What a crazy ending, even more so than 13 Ghosts one.
