Let me start with what I didn't like about the movie...Fred's hair changed a lot throughout the movie. It was slicked back, it was not slicked back. They should have kept it consistent through the movie. I also felt like Nick Palatas had to force himself to talk like Shaggy. It didn't seem natural, like it did with Matthew Lillard. I wasn't happy with it being more modern (Shaggy said his room has a DVD player and an MP3 player...all of which were not around in the 60's when Scooby was created.) Overall, I did really like this movie. Scooby was so much better looking in this movie than in the other 2. He looked more like Scooby. The actors actually didn't bother me so much, not like Freddy Prinze Jr and Sarah Michele Gellar bothered me. I still think Matthew Lillard made the best Shaggy and Linda Cardellini made the best Velma. Scrappy was no where to be seen, so that was kewl. ;D I really liked how they incorporated the live characters into the intros from the animated show. I'm definitely happy with the movie. The things I didn't like about it are not so bad...just little annoyances. My kids liked the movie a lot too! Even my 3 year old sat for the whole movie.

I liked it alot too. The main problem I had it with it was, besides the main villain, the ghosts were real. Normally I wouldn't mind that but considering this is a prequel, it kinda doesn't make sense. Also the masked villain reminded alot of me of the Evil Masked Figure in Scooby 2.
The CG Scooby looked a lot better than I was expecting. Nick Palatas is no Mathew Lillard but overall the actors were good in their roles. I loved how they combined the WAY and WNSD intros at the end! Overall it was a really fun movie. I think I would give it a 4/5.

The real ghosts didn't bother me. I had the masked villain figured out pretty quickly though. I think it should have been more geared towards the 60's though, since it was supposed to be about the beginning and how everything started. I totally agree with you that combining the SDWAY and WNSD intros was really kewl. I could also agree with a 4/5 rating

Congrats Scooby! I just got the movie on DVD! I really liked it. I would give it a 4/5 too. I didn't like is the real ghosts, since the in the other 2 movies they weren't real. I also didn't like how Velma was so bossy in the beginning parts and that they made it so easy to fiure out the spectre wasn't real. At first I didn't actually think the villian was the principal, I actually thought it was the janitor, until he said he wanted to be the dance king of Coolsville High (LOL). Towards the end, I kinda guessed that it was the principal.

I really liked it! The real ghosts did not bother me. I think they did well playing their characters and I liked that Frank Welker was the voice of Scooby. I think Scooby looked better in this movie and I liked how in the ending they did the intros from Scooby Doo Where are You, The Scooby Doo Show and Whats new Scooby Doo. It was so funny when the couch collapsed and when they ate the Scooby Snacks

Well, I just got it and I totally love it. One big bad point (well, for me): The German sync. I put the DVD in and waited for the menu and put the movie on German and then I watched it. First time Shaggy speaks, my mouth was hanging to the ground. Really, his German voice was SO BAD! The others were okay, but I couldn't stand it, grabbed for the remote control and immediately went back to the menu to change voices back to English. Though I put on German subheadings, I probably wouldn't have understood half of the things Velma said without them But overall, the movie was very good, it bothered me that Fred wasn't blonde, but then I saw the extras and I'm glad that he's NOT blonde in the movie. The actors were very good. Sure, no one messes with Matthew and Linda, but they were better than I had expected them to be. The mystery itself was good, too. It didn't bothered me the littlest that there were real ghosts in it. With the "I know who the villain is thing", I figured it out when they thought it was Grimes, because it was too obvious if it would've been him. The combined intros at the ending were very funny and I liked the Mystery Machine painting. So, I think 4/5 works for me!

I really enjoyed the new movie. I didnt' have the highest hopes when I tuned in Sept 13th on CN to watch the premiere. But as the first commercial started after it came on, I was actually enjoying myselt!
The actors were super, and the whole plot-line was okay. I didn't have a problem with their being real ghosts, and I kinda had a feeling that the Principle was the one that did it. lol The whole stamps thing was alittle weird, and very unrealistic, but all that was covered up by the awesome acting!
I was so entertained by the kids' acting. They all made me believe they were all 'the gang' and Scooby's CGI yes, could have been better, but besides all that, it was a grade A movie. and I'm sure all SD fans out there will/did like it. My favorite characters were Shaggy and Fred. xD they were both so funny! I recorded it, and I watch it alot now; just to see if I missed anything.
Infact, I loved this movie so much, I made a site dedicated to it! ^.^

I liked this on a lot it seemed more like the old stuff even though the ghost were real...they were teenagers in high school and seem a lot less adult but not little kids which I liked. Fred not being blond I actually thought was funny, just cause in some of the comericals pointed it out and flashed back to a scooby doo where are you episode.
My father who's physically disabled watched it with me cause he seen everything else on the set and loved it too. Of couse my mom and I figured out it was the Vice Principal long before it was revealed she even figured out the stamp thing.. my dad was clueless.

I really loved the movie, and thought every actor did an excellent job. I give it 10/10!
Criticisms:
1. Shaggy mentioning the DVD, MP3 and CD, (like you SD) just wasn't realistic. 2. Scooby's body wasn't excellent but overall I think he looked good, especially the face.
High points:
1. Loved how the gang came together, like the 2 bus scenes etc. 2. Loved how the Mystery Machine was old, battered and YELLOW at the start. 3. Loved how they mixed the intros at the end, which didn't surprise me for some reason. 4. Loved seeing them painting the Mystery Machine.
Surprises:
1. Daphne letting Shaggy sit next to her on the bus, I thought she would of said no! :-O
2. At the end, I realised that they didn't show Fred with his ascot on atall, maybe they'll do a follow up- a sequel to the prequel - and show them with their trademark outfits! :-P
OVERALL....AN EXCELLENT MOVIE!!! :-D 10 out of 10!!! :-)
