This movie is complete perfection. It had me hooked from the beginning as soon as I saw "Heather North Kenney". The fact that they brought back Heather North and even Nicole Jaffe after THIRTY YEARS was absolutely amazing. The two still sounded very much like their respective performances and are far superior to Grey DeLisle and Mindy Cohn. This felt very much like a classic Scooby-Doo episode. The scenes with Daphne just screamed "retro", especially near the end when she was alone in a cave. The characters were just so very well designed and resembled their older counterparts so much! Now the music....it was so nostalgic and great hearing the old songs again! They even took it a step further and used the classic sound effects! I also liked the inclusion of the Hex Girls as they are great characters. I liked the vocal songs that were included as well. I found some flaws with it though. They forced Fraphne upon us yet again even though they were supposed to be going "retro". They even had an anti-Shaphne moment when Shaggy hugged Daphne. The Hanna-Barbera Daphne would've been playful with him and encouraged him to go on. Overall, this movie deserves a 10/10. It's a shame WB didn't allow for anymore movies to be done in this format, I would have loved to hear more of Heather and Nicole, as they are perfect for their respective characters, even now.

I don't know a lot about classic Scooby Doo, but this movie was my idea of it! Completely different from all those new onewps produced by WB, but still, great in another way!! I really thought the monstrous vampire was real when it got vanished by the reflection of Scooby's collar in such a way... But the unmasking of the villains and the whole plot behind this, was superb! By the end of the movie, I was used to the old voice actors... Music and effects were of the 'old' style too. I really liked it, and it was fun at some parts!!

this movie was ok. it was basically just an extended whats new episode. it wasnt up to the zombie islad era films, but it wasnt terrible. Yeah, I agree. This was the end of classic Scooby. And old school animation for that matter. This was all done on the computer I think.

The movie just seemed like an hour long What's New Scooby Doo Episode, the voices were amazing! The retro music was a welcome inclusion. The characters themselves, were almost the exact same as their 60's version. The only thing that was off was Fred being jealous of Daphne, but I can look over that two seconds. The villains were a bit boring and the reveal came out of the blue. I liked the other characters though, it's nice the Hex Girls are officially canon. I'd give it 8/10.

One of my favorite Scooby films, wish they had kept going with this retro style.

Legend of the Vampire, is one of my favorites along with Witches Ghost.
But the main reason why I love it, is the montage of the Gang going through the outback and really enjoying eachothers company. It's a small section of the film, but it really shows the gang hanging out, and having fun together. Tossing a ball back and forth, having a picnic, and laughing at each other. Things, you figure if you spent most of your childhood, and teen years with a group of people. You either hate their guts, or have an unbreakable bond. And this shows how close they are. Which gives credit to the style of writing I personally use.
But the rest of the movie, actually has lots of small fan pokes, that they put in there for long time fans. Swapping Fred and Shaggy's outfits, making fun of being "Those Meddling Kids", and the sweet moment that Velma admitted that she was scared. Also a lot of the original voice actors returned for this movie, so It had the original Velma, Nichole Jaffee (from SDWAY and the reason Velma has glasses), The amazing Heather North (Rest your soul amazing lady) and possible return of Casey Kasam if he had still been gone at the time. (forgot which movie he returned back to the franchise in after the Burger King debockle.)
But overall a fun romp. And well, added Hex Girls as well!
Edit: How can I forget Velma in a feathered boa! And forced to sing in front of everyone! It was a small scene at the end, but I so see Fred and the rest of the gang loving to pull out that at family occasions to bug the heck out of their Brainac. Making her melt in a puddle of embarrassment. And the pride of her parents.

i'm watching it right now and i notice that the background music is EXACTLY the same background mytery music in the Original Series! Coool! Btwi Think the film is alright. it funny in places. The whole movie is fundamentally a homage to the original series, not unlike "Bravo Dooby Doo" or "Night of the Living Doo." I also really enjoyed hearing Heather North as Daphne and Nicole Jaffe as Velma again. I also liked the retro designs to the animation (contrasting with the more realistic-looking "What's New Scooby-Doo" and the 2004-2009 movies) and using all those classic H-B sound effects (some of them were edited out on TV airings though, strangely.)

Yeah, I knew one of the ladies who played Daphne was dead. I said the wrong one. Sorry Heather, not trying to kill you off.

I also want to note that when this movie is not being played on a 5.1 surround set (such as the TV version), it has rather poor sound mixing. The sound effects are rather quiet compared to the music and voices, and some sound effects are inaudible. Using a 5.1 surround set, I was able to notice nighttime cricket ambience sounds during outdoor night time scenes. During the opening thunderstorm in the 5.1 surround version, the sound of rainfall can be heard, along with additional thunder effects (most notably the vintage Disney/H-B "Castle Thunder" sounds), all of which are not audible when played on monaural or basic stereo speakers/earphones. Here is the opening credits with the 5.1 sound effects more audible...

I really like this one as well. I loved all the sightseeing around Australia and the concert in the Outback just made this a great movie. It was nice to hear the original voices that did make this feel like classic Scooby. So much fun
