In all honesty I think there's a lot of old bumps and promos from Cartoon Network that aren't well documented online yet. Especially given so many of those online communities who track them down are more into the CN Originals and Jim Samples era that there's quite a bit from the Checkerboard and the Scooby and LT stuff from the Samples era that just isn't uploaded as often.
Unfortuantly it is also the case that a lot of us talking about them were kids at the time and don't fully remember every single one off the top of my head. I was watching one upload from like 1998 the other night and many of the promos I couldn't have told you existed off the top of my head but during the video I felt countless moments of "oh yeah now I recall that". So being generous, there's probably more Scooby stuff out there to recovered from that period of time.
I also admit I wouldn't be against some of these style promotions returning if AT&T chooses to care about that stuff these days.

I recall seeing that one before. But I've never seen it on any uploads either. Like I said though I wouldn't be surprised if there are more stories like this for various other bumpers for HB and WB properties.

I was at the gym earlier today and saw HQ footage of this being broadcasted during ET (Entertainment Tonight) in a news segment talking about the 20th anniversary of The Blair Witch Project. Presumably, the context of the Scooby clips was to show the legacy and impact of the original movie. However, this means that there's a high quality master recording of the special out there somewhere. I wish they'd release it.

I would love to see this released on that Scooby 50 Cartoon Collection releasing in August. Would be a perfect opportunity for them to release it IMO.

I always liked this. I had a VHS recording of the original marathan my cousin taped for me. It's long been gotten rid of. I've never had anything but badluck with VHS players.

I never saw that one with Flim Flam. That's just cruel to leave a kid and a puppy in the rain and call them mud. Regardless of the over hate pertaining to them.

VHS players are old enough that you really need a cleaner-tape to do much with them anymore. Aftermarket tapes wear out pretty quick too, unfortunately. It's crazy, because original masters for song albums (and tv shows) were/are still kept on nice tape though. It's the quality of the tapes, not just the medium itself.
I just wanted to add that The Blair Witch Project was really the first big indie film to go "viral" due to the internet. It having a somewhat similar premise as Scooby-Doo, the bumper-style special is really interesting from a historical perspective. Lost footage films are a dime a dozen now, but back then it was new territory-- video cameras just getting cheap enough for consumers to outright purchase on a whim. Zombie Island features Daphne's video camera as a somewhat important plot element around the same time. For comparison, around just a decade before, Nirvana was sneaking into Radio Shack just to record a video demo of their songs. Portable electronics were extremely expensive up until the late '90s.

There IS an HQ master, it's been uploaded to Vimeo by the staff behind the special. The same account also uploaded a short behind the scenes featurette.

Wow! Thanks, Elemage! Time to go back to 1999 tonight. It's almost the length of a regular episode!

The channel belongs to one of the actual crew from the special, so I think that's allowed? vimeo.com/260131151?utm_campaign=2470763&utm_source=affiliate&utm_channel=affiliate&cjevent=039bb2f9ceb811ea80b300e20a240611

That was a strange episode. It was weird, the gang being killed and they hated each other so much. I didn't hate it, but if I had to rate it I'd probably give it a 3/10.
Bumping a really old post, but just wanted to say that it was most certainly odd. It wasn't until I'd seen The Blair Witch Project that this made more sense. I believe it should be viewed like the crazy escapades in Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood, not a canon story, if that makes sense. They did an exceptional job of parodying The Blair Witch Project, albeit delivered to children in-between Scooby episode breaks in a segmented fashion, which is very odd. Had this aired on something like HBO Now, CW, or Adult Swim, it would have fit in better. The voice-acting is top-notch and arguing about crumbs in the tent always makes me smile.

Oh wow, that was as super old post haha! 11 years ago! I would say my opinion on it has changed a bit, as I also hadn't seen The Blair Witch Project yet at the time of writing that comment. I enjoyed the special quite a bit and it was surprisingly high quality given how the animation looked. It's definitely odd but it's really fun for what it is and I'd probably bump that rating up to maybe an 8/10 or 9/10 now.

I've never seen TBWP but I've always known it was a parody of it. Yeah, it's pretty obvious that this special isn't canon (well, as canon as anything can get in the Scooby franchise). Apparently, in-universe, it was a publicity stunt pulled by the Gang, as confirmed by Fred in a follow-up special by Cartoon Network. Which seems really out of character for Mystery Inc. but whatever. It's definitely in the upper echelon of Scooby content for me.
As someone who HATES horror, it tends to be the more horror-tinged projects that own my heart; Zombie Island, Witch's Ghost, Camp Scare, The Scooby-Doo Project, Scooby Apocalypse. I also love the monster's design, despite us never getting a clear look at him. There's a bumper from like Cartoon Network Brazil that shows Mystery Inc. beating up that specific monster, and Daphne is throwing him around like a RAG DOLL. There's also some other Cartoon Network commercials that used him, so they clearly liked the design.
