This is the best villain in the whole Where Are You series. But I do think this is the most overrated episode. Just because it has a classic unique villain doesn't make it the best. The abandoned airfield is alright and the humor is good. But the mystery is by that great

My question is how could Henry Bascombe figure out where everyone was at? It was like everywhere the gang went, even when they were split up, they ended up encountering him in his Space Ghost Kook costume.

Not my very favorite of the series but I'll say top 5 and maybe top 3. And it's not only because the Space Kook is an absolutely phenomenal villain (although that does help). The abandoned airfield setting is creepy and creative and the humor is on point, my favorite moment being the previously mentioned scene with they key and the window. Absolutely excellent stuff

One of the best of the entire franchise. Creepiest villain, creepiest scream, creepiest setting

Yeah, this one deserves all the praise. It's never been my #1 episode but it's never been out of my Top 5 for long. Don't really have much else to add about Space Kook, himself ... He's probably the coolest Scooby villain of all time and has grown to become the most popular. (alongside The Creeper) I suppose the episode itself doesn't have the greatest mystery as we have no chance of really figuring out what's going on but that doesn't detract from the overall episode. A cackling luminous Alien haunting an abandoned airfield is an immediate winner. This is a one of the all-time greats!
Mystery - 8.5/10 Villain - 10/10 Setting - 9.5/10
Overall Score - 9.5/10

I find it amusing reading peoples thoughts on this one. I didn't find it creepy or scary but I do love the old abandoned airfield setting and the Space Kook is a fun villain. It's a solid episode for the series.

This is really the only original Scooby episode with a sci-fi military setting that I can think of. It's unique, even if overplayed when I was young. Only other '70s episode that I can draw similar feels from is Tangle in the Bermuda Triangle. And of course, the Kooky Space Kook is an iconic villain.

Plot: My second favorite mystery of the series It had great humor too. The key scene is the funniest in SDWAY by far. 10/10 Set Up:The reason I believe this episode isn't a perfect 10 The mystery and the villain are so memorable, but the airport is not that great. It is not bad, but it also doesn't have the legendary status of the other parts of the episode. 7/10 Monster: PERFECT. Great design, scary-looking, and legendary bad guy. The Space Kook is a strong candidate for the best villain in the whole franchise. 10/10
BONUS Nostalgia Boost: +0/8. I always liked the episode but didn't have it in mind as an all-time classic as I do now.
Overall, an almost perfect episode. Some small issues didn't allow me to give it a 10, but it is indeed a must-watch. Final Score: 9.8/10
