I'm from australia so I saw the promo, and sadly it has nothing to do with season 2.

I'm surprised no one has pointed out that the title is indirectly based on a actual movie title. It was never released. It starred Jerry Lewis as a clown who was in a Nazi concentration camp in WWII. Quite engaging, actually. Here's the link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Day_The_Clown_Cried

I just checked my DVR and it doesn't show SDMI Episode 27 at all. The TV listings goes all the way to May 3 at 11 P.M. but there's no Mystery Incorporated.

There's nothing up about the season premiere on the SDMI page on CN's site either. I hope it's still on for May 3!!!!!

I finally watched this episode yesterday. I was happy to see most of the gang back together. Fred looked pretty crazy with all that hair, but it was great that they incorporated his ascot around it. Crybaby Clown was annoying me though with the whining. I really didn't like that about him. I hope the people in the town will eventually see how important the gang is no they appreciate everything they do for the town. It was a good episode overall! I'm looking forward to the rest of the season!!

Finally got to start watching the new episodes!
It really surprised me that most of the gang got back together so quickly in this first episode. I kinda expected them to spread out the story of how they reunited over a few early episodes, rather than wrap that all up pretty much in the first 15 minutes.
I'd think there'd be a lot of untold story there about those missing months in between. Takes a long time to grow a beard that long!! Should make an interesting period for fan fiction to tackle!!
Overall I liked it though. I thought the little in-joke to "Jaws" was cute. (Isn't that coming out on Blu-ray soon or something?) I also liked how Scooby got a lot more air time this episode and showed a lot of bravery, and not just comic relief. Velma's disguise was neat too...I thought at first it was a new Mr. E henchman. I thought it was funny the way Fred figured out who she was.
I guess one of the first big story's will be how they get Daphne back into the fold. (I haven't seen the other episodes yet.) The "Dusk" tie in was cute. Will be interesting to see where that goes.
Crybaby Clown wasn't very scary really, but a 'unique' villain. I did like his 'baby carriage meets the Munsters Mobile' car though.
One thing I missed was the opening theme music and credits. There weren't any really. Hope that comes back in later episodes.

There were credits, CN just made them really small when they were advertising for another show.

Sorry, I meant the opening credits. Maybe that's not the right way to say it though. I guess "title sequence" maybe? I know what you mean though, I did see the shrunken closing credits.

I enjoyed this episode besides the nazi implication at the beginning. I agree that they should of spread the story more.10/10.

A lot of people had high hopes for this episode, and a completely different view of how it should turn out, like an epic cross country road trip. I think if the last episode had finished differently that could've happened (but the way things had been envisioned, wouldn't have worked out anyway, since the parents are evil and such). Instead, the episode is a less epic than that, and a little on the stupid side. Because the "All Fear the Freak" raised the bar so high, only for it to fall hard, very hard. For season 1, it always felt like just when it was getting somewhere, the credits would roll and you'd have to start it all over again. Being able to see season 1 back to back now, has changed that a little. But this episode is still a disappoint from what could've been.

This was a bit of a disappointment of a season premier to be honest. I don't even mind them going in a sillier direction after how dark the last episode was. I did find Crybaby Clown himself funny enough even if he was outrageously ridiculous, but so much of this episode just made me cringe, especially the parts involving Fred and Daphne
