I'll check out my recording of the episode soon. Btw, Isn't her name Judy instead of Julia? Let me know when you finally see it. And yeah, I meant Judy. There was something on BBC TV about it being Julia Childs' 100th birthday while I was typing, and I must've picked it up there. At least I didn't type Brad & Julia Childs instead of Chiles! Mark

I'll check out my recording of the episode soon. Let me know when you finally see it. Just saw it, and you were right. Hot Dog Water being in the intro confirms the secret relationship between Velma/Hot Dog Water! Hot Dog Water is actually STARING at a picture of Velma!

Doo, First off the title sequence still has Hot Dog Water in it instead of Daphne, and this was the CN version I DVR'd. If you still have this recorded you can go back and check it out. Hot Dog Water's not in the sequence anymore, but she was for the two episodes we were talking about.
I've haven't seen the last 10 episodes so I don't know where any Velma/Hot Dog Water relationship has gone...but I'm not sure how much the title sequence revealed. I thought that too but then noticed that each characters section leads into the next. For instance in the regular sequence Velma sees Daphne in her laptop before she closes it.

Hot Dog Water isn't still in the intro. She is, I looked at the intro for the episode this morning. You're right that Hot Dog Water is in the intro for this episode. The intro is wrong on here: www.watchcartoononline.com/anime/scooby-doo-mystery-incorporatedI was looking at it on there, that's why I said she wasn't. I just checked the episode on my DVR, and she is in the intro.

I liked it. I would like to point out it's dungeons and dragons style of game they are playing. not world of warcraft.

Just watched this for the first time. Not liking that they just kicked Hot Dog Water out like that. Very out of character for the gang.

I agree but you have to remember that in SD:MI all of the gang were out of character in one way or another. Too many things were done for 'drama' and at times it was more soap opera than Scooby Doo.

Oh I know. I just mean it felt out of character even for these versions of the characters.

Was this a spoof of "Nightmare of Elm Street?" That's what it says on Wikipedia right now. I've noticed a trend in this series, especially starting around this episode where the writers seem to pick a few popular things and mash them together into a fun idea. It's new, but also based on pop culture. This episode felt like Dungeon & Dragons mixed with Jim Henson's Labyrinth.
I haven't seen any of the nightmare films but I can do so soon. There could be nods to it as well.
