Hm. I'm kind of surprised I'm the first to respond to the ep. If you haven't seen it yet, then don't read the spoiler (WARNING!): I must admit I was surprised that the geek's mother was the culprit. That was a nice twist. And Perciple? Whoa! I did NOT see that one coming! But the one that really got me was the way Shaggy chose Scooby over Velma in the way that he did. I felt really sorry for her, especially in the way she took it. Congrats, Scooby/Shaggy supporters, you've won. Maybe if Velma might not have pressured Shaggy, she'd still be in the running. Perhaps it's not over yet, since we have 16 eps left in this season, but right now, Scooby's riding high. Sherriff Stone's stupidity really shone through here, didn't it? Honestly, it seemed to me he had it out for Scooby the moment he heard about that robotic dog, but that's not a surprise, since he and Mystery Inc's parents wanted them to break up since the beginning. Poor Velma...

Loved this episode. Loved all the references to other movies, plus did anyone catch the crazed Yogi at the end? As for Shaggy and Velma, I'm sure they'll hook up again. Right now, I think it's for the best. Both Velma and Scooby have been jerks about the whole Shelma thing. And speaking of being a jerk, that was kinda a jerkish comment Fred made at the end, wasn't it?

Just finished watching it. Pretty cool, although I wish they'd shown more of the Fright Hound. That was a pretty scary looking dog. Made me think of Hound of the Baskervilles. That pet asylum was pretty creepy too.
I didn't really suspect the geek, only because it would've been a little too obvious, but I wasn't suspecting the mother either.
I liked all the movie references too. Terminator, Aliens, Silence of the Lambs. And on the bus I thought I saw a glimpse of the old man from the cartoon UP! and maybe an older version of the boy. Not sure though.
Scooby had some good one-liners when he battled the Hound too. Surprised a little at how the Shaggy/Velma story ended up for now, but I'm sure it will continue.
The Pericles twist was pretty ominous. I'm anxious to see where that leads. A pretty creepy twist considering one would assume he was once at least kinda nice like Scooby. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I knew that had to be from something but didn't know what. I haven't watched X-Men all that much. Cool.

Wow. I don't think Shaggy expected Velma to react that way. He seemed to want to tell her this since the Alice may episode but didn't know how. Then he sees Velma let down Jason gently and must have expected the same result.
Did Pericles seriously mind control the guard to wrap up his own arm with the taser? I REALLY would like to see a flashback to the original Mystery Incorporated.
I only saw this once, so I am not sure if I am missing something. In the beginning of the episode, the Frighthound breaks into the asylum. Do we see what it went in there for or did it retreat? Then the second time the Frighthound is there the animal inmates get loose freeing Pericles.
Considering Pericles did that creepy thing without the guard knowing, I bet he got Jason's mom to use the Frighthound to break him out. Then that warning about the gang, especially Fred, needing to be on the lookout is pretty ominous. I wonder if Pericles has powers like Professor X (or dare I say Phoenix to keep the bird theme) and that why his prison looked similar to Cerebro?

You know, I was thnking, what if they did a episode where the whole episode was a flashback to the old Mystery Inc. Would be interesting. I think they did a little time jumping there. I think the scene at the beginning is supposed to take place right before the Sheriff gets the call about the Fright Hound attacking the Asylum. At least, that's what I got from it. Hmm...interesting theory.

Heh--forgot for a sec about Yogi Bear there at the end. Okay, what was it about Fred, who appears to be next on the danger list, again? And apparently Pericles can talk like Scooby Doo, but also has some mind powers, and is very intelligent. Now, has he turned evil, or is he still good? He seemed to have the power to break out anytime he wanted, so why did he choose now? This ep raises far more questions than it answered, it seems.

At least, that's what I got from it. So, you mean like the first scene was the present, roughly the first half of the ep was flashback to what happened immediately before, and then the 2nd half finishes it? Sounds reasonable, only most shows usually flash something like "1 Day Before" after an intro like that. Did they do that last night? I don't remember. It works though, because I can't think of why the Mom would've had him attack twice like that, especially before the whole thing between her son and Velma even happened. That or the mind control idea expressed previously. Mark

Now, has he turned evil, or is he still good? He seemed to have the power to break out anytime he wanted, so why did he choose now? This ep raises far more questions than it answered, it seems. Yeah, it does. I think Fred was the focus last night because we know from the first ep that his dad knows something about all this. And since he's sorta the leader, he's the one most likely to keep the gangs investigation going. And the Sheriff seems to only tolerate the gang because Fred's dad is his boss. Whether Pericles is good and just has a slightly elitist/sarcastic predisposition, or turned bad at some point is uncertain. Why was he being held is another related question. Because he's a threat the to the good guys, or because he turned evil at some point? The answer to all that of course is also part of the answer to what happened to the original Mystery Inc. As to why he waited until that moment to speak and escape, I'm guessing it would be for the same reason Mr. E waited all these years until the gang found the necklace. Whatever reason that is. It certainly does seem like there are/have been some sinister forces afoot!! Oh, and is it Pericles or Percipal? I've seen both here. Mark

I loved this episode. I was shocked that Shaggy chose Scooby or Velma so quickly. I thought it would take a couple episodes for him to decide. I amazingly guessed that the fright hound was Jason's mom. I wonder what will happen next. Excited for Episode 11!

I really enjoyed this episode I was shocked that Shaggy chose Scooby or Velma so quickly. I thought it would take a couple episodes for him to decide. maybe they wraped it up real quickly for plot reasons. Maybe so they could start focusing a little more on Fred and Daphne, and by the what Pericles said, I think Fred will be the focus on the next few. I really felt for Velma. When me and my friends were watching that we actually got emotinal tooo because we both have been through that drama lately (scince we are teens, it 's a given) so I am not really liking Shaggy at the moment. Can't wait for nxt ep
