OK, I just watched the opening teaser. Now I see what they meant by a "special" episode for fans.

just watched it myself too... what an odd, very enjoyable episode. While it's kind of a throwaway or side diversion from the overall MI season story arc, it was definately a treat for long time HB fans.

So is the whole season continuing on I-Tunes, or was this just a special one-off?
Or do we even know?

I really liked the episode. It did stray from the SD:MI story, but I think doing it as a dream made it still fit into the series. Seeing all the HB characters was a real treat to those of us who know the characters. I'm so glad I got to see this!!
I think this was just a one-off because they have this episode as the last episode for season 1, and they list the air date as January 31. Who knows, they may even take it down.

This kind of situation has happened before for other shows on iTunes....the network sets an airdate but then change it and forget to update iTunes (among other digital dustributors). So iTunes releases the episode as they have it scheduled. Whether this happens again next week or beyond depends how many episodes CN gave a schedule for to the digital release outlets already (and if they notify them of the changes)
I haven't heard if CN previously announced any new episode schedules that were going to air after #14 and then got changed...if they did, then I think there is a good chance we'll see them digitally just after the original airdates.

Tough for them if they do, since I just bought, viewed, and downloaded it off of Amazon! WOW! That was a trippy episode! Man!

Okay, this confirms to me that CN doesn't know what it's doing, or rather one hand doesn't know what the other one is doing. I only hope they'll mess it up again so I can get another unaired new episode.

I have to say, I downloaded it a few hours ago and I just got done watching it about ten minutes ago; I have to say for all the garbage people are saying about of this series, calling it bad or crummy, or whatever, they have to watch this episode.
In the parts of the show drawn in the SDMI style, Scooby and Velma were acting like friends and that was good to see, plus the whole beginning and ending setting up the dream sequence was fantastic and very well handled.
As for the mystery itself, it was hillarious and I thought it was very funny about who the culprit was; now I know why SDMI is the best Scooby series in quite a while, it's because the producers and writers know what they're doing, and have obviously watched the old Scooby episodes and episodes of the other Hanna Barbera Mystery shows.
Now we'll wait and see what everybody else thinks about the episode when it airs on Cartoon Network and for the rest of the season and hopefully see what's up with Mr. E and the mystery of Crystal Cove.

nickle98499, I agree that it really seems like the producers and writers have watched the previous series and have paid attention to details in those series. It really makes SD:MI so much better that they are building on the characters from the past series and not just recreating them for the new series.

And I discovered an interesting comic book cover from Cartoon Network Presents #23. All that was missing was Funky Phantom! Check it out on Wikipedia under the Jabberjaw entry. I'd provide the link, but all you'd get would be the meanings of the word "file"! ;D I wonder if someone at CN saw the cover and based this newest episode on it!
