It's definitely not my favorite series...not even close! I hate the dance sequences during the chase scenes. I never understood what that was all about. I don't really like the animation either, though it's much better than Get a Clue.

I enjoyed it as a youngster and still do now, but did anyone realise that A Pup Named does not fit with the Mystery Inc. Story? For example, in Scooby Goes Hollywood, a flashback shows the gang as teens buying Scooby as a pup from a pet shop!!!

I noticed that too! I there are a lot of things in Pup that don't fit with the other series. I guess they thought no one would notice.

I wish they would have created it so the story lines matched. But when you have different writers and other people involved from series to series, it's hard to really keep everything on track.

Yeah that is true I guess. I also REALLY wish they made it so that all of the storylines matched! Gosh!!!

It's ok. Certainly not the best. I think Hanna Barbera wanted to cash in on the sucess of Muppet Babies, which in my opinion, is a better series. However, it's still pretty good. I think Pup and What's New are in a continuity of their own. There was never really any sense of continuity before that. But maybe I'm overthinking it

Wow! Muppet Babies! It's been a long time since I have seen that! I can see how they were trying to cash in on that. I think Scooby is a very well known cartoon in every generation, but they may have wanted to appeal to the younger audience who didn't grow up with Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! I don't think we will ever know what WB was thinking.
