It all ends today.............. What a series!!!!! Yes, a very bitter sweet kind of day... I glad we finally get to see how this journey plays out, but on the flip side, that's it. It's over. Of course we have the various DTV to look forward to, but I wish we knew what the next Scooby series was (so we can pick it apart and decide we hate it a year or so before the first episode actually airs by law of the Internet )

I think it was too. Tony says something to that extent on his twitter. According to Wikipedia there were only 42 WNSD episodes so we got an extra 10 this time round.

Yes all in all it was a great series. The way it was shown by network TV sucked but aside from a few weak/dodgy episodes it was a good one. I like that fact that it ended, sure they left themselves/WB the option of making more shows (perhaps direct to DVD specials to cut out the CH middleman) but also that it is done and dusted so that if they don't then there are now unresolved plot lines. I hope they take this further.
The one downside is that as the episodes are linked, especially the last few, it does limit the ease at which they can be rerun (thought that doesn't stop the network). This may explain some of CN's behaviour. If it is successful (not just ratings but DVD sales and they are going on my shopping list) then perhaps we will see more of their trip[ to Miskatonic.

I'm just sad it's over since it was one heck of a roller coaster ride of a series!!!!

So I was checking Tony's Twitter and someone asked him last month if they ever would consider doing/ reviving another season of SDMI and his response was never say never... and that SDMI has a lot of fans...... I wonder what it means......... Maybe a spinoff?

Hopefully it means a new series, but I have a feeling that it's only if enough fans say they will watch it like russm said.

Does anyone know of any reliable sources for background information on the writing, creation etc. of SD Mystery Inc. or any of the direct to DVD movies? I'd like to write to some of the writers of the shows.

I'd like to write to some of the writers of the shows. Welcome to the forum! Tony Cervone is on twitter and interacts with fans when he can. As a producer for Mystery Inc, he would be the best source to start answering your questions.
