Although I haven't watched it all, I can say I loved it! Watched many episodes through my childhood and I intend to watch them all someday!

I loved SDWAY! After all it's what did start Scooby, and it had very hilarious episodes along with very strange, but interesting villains.

So I just recently finished Where Are You for my chronological watch through. Of course, I grew up with this series and it is part of what got me to love Scooby. This watch through I ranked each episode on a scale of 1-10 which is what I've been doing with each series, so that I can rank every show when I'm done. And overall I absolutely loved it. Part of it could be put down to nostalgia but I really think it's just an absolute classic. This watch through really made me realize just how much the show leans into a horror aesthetic and atmosphere, but breaks it up with the laugh track and comedy. I honestly would be interested in watching the show without the laugh track to see if there is a different vibe. I have more thoughts but first let me share how everything averaged out. Season 1: 9.397 Season 2: 8.875 Total Series: 9.136
This makes it my second favorite show so far! (I've only watched and ranked three at this point but still!) To be honest, the only show left I'm expecting will surpass it is What's New, partly because I feel like my nostalgia is stronger for that one and partly because it will feel less dated, which is a very slight issue I have with this show. There are just a couple small moments here and there in the show that just make it feel "of it's time" which is perfectly natural. Because overall I think it feels very timeless, which is why those elements stand out more. But it does slightly detract from certain episodes (mostly Decoy For A Dognapper and A Tiki Scare Is No Fair). Anyway, season 1 is definitely better than season 2. The first season is just classic after classic after classic and none of them are weak, whereas for me, there are only two standout episodes in season 2. (Jeepers, It's The Creeper and A Haunted House Hang-Up) and the rest ranges from pretty okay but nothing special to really good. Overall though, a classic and iconic series that sparked the best cartoon franchise in existance.
Have 6 of the DTVs to watch next (I will also be rating and ranking all of those, and I'm excited to see if the idea I have in my head of how I'll place them ends up being true) and after those 6 it'll be on to The New Scooby-Doo Movies, which I've never watched in full so I'm really excited for it.

The only criticisms AT ALL I can think of are the obvious visual goofs, sometimes quickly painted backgrounds, and infrequent insensitivity towards various ethnic groups. Overall, this show which started in the sixties has aged unbelievably well!

I just finished my reviews for all the episodes, so here's my review for the series:
Things that i like: Let's start with the obvious one, it was the beginning of my favorite cartoon franchise. Other than that, SDWAY had some of the most iconic episodes and monsters in Scooby's history (from the Black Knight to the Space Kook and the Creeper). Most of the episodes are good to awesome anyway. Let's continue with the music. Legendary intro and fantastic chase music. I loved almost all the chase songs. As for characters, I love serious Fred, the Velma and Shaggy dynamic, and how Shaggy and Scooby were braver here. Finally, it had some dark themes, scary haunted places, and monster designs, which is great for a 1960s kids cartoon (Don't forget the almost excellent humor, though).
Things That I didn't like: Some animation errors, the fact that some villains were childish, and the way the gang were involved in some mysteries (bad writing). These are minor ones that I kinda excuse because, after all, it is a 60s cartoon for kids with barely 21 minutes of runtime. But I also have three big issues: 1)I didn't like the fact that there were no suspects in a lot of episodes (There were none or barely one suspect). As a kid, I liked to try figuring out who was the guy in the mask, something I couldn't do with most of the WAY episodes. 2)Same formula over and over again. There were not so many plot twists, and some things were happening over and over again (like Shaggy and Scooby finding the monster first). Sure, they changed some things in season 2, I have to admit. 3)Daphne. She had limited or no contribution to the mystery's solution. She was there only to fall on trap doors, be clumped, and be kidnapped. Thankfully, her character is going to be developed more in the future.
I know that I wrote more on the negative side, but I still think it is a great series. I just don't see perfection like many of you do. Being more nostalgic for 2-3 other series is probably a key factor.
Final Score: 9/10
