How does that title grab ya? For Elvira, Macabre Movie Mayhem could feature her trying to film a 3rd Movie and having it have production problems due to 'real hauntings' by one or more villains from her B movie show come to life. Don't forget, we have a strong link with Elvira here as she was real life friends with Vincent Price and Scooby and Vincent have been linked since 13 Ghosts and Shaggy and Scooby watch B Horror movies. So, perhaps, they can be watching her Movie Macabre show when an incident happens live one night as it airs. To clarify the poll: Vote for as many as you like: We've got Elvira, Bruce Campbell (From Evil Dead series), Barnabas Collins is the Dark Shadows soap opera Vampire lead, Ozzy Osbourne, Gabriel Iglesias is a heavyweight hispanic kid friendly comedian who's about to get his own cartoon actually and is legit funny, and Alice Cooper. Sounds like they would be co-hosting a (family friendly) horror movie marathon... I would be interested in more info.
Is the title/concept your creation or something coming that you read about? (Source?)

So Far, its just an idea. I'm working on some crossover concepts. Of all crossover's i'd expected, they haven't gone that route yet. I was also going to go with Scooby Doo in Haunted Hills featuring Elvira. Her second movie was Haunted Hills, so they'd get the name in the licensing agreement too. I've yet to see what harm Elvira does to youngsters since she's never actually been naked onscreen as Elvira. The Hex Girls could ofcourse be worked in.
I'd also like to see the gang in the sleepy town of Collinsport! Few things would freak them out more than the Vampire and his assistants as good guys, until they meet Angelique. They could also get warped in time by that logic too.
I could also see an episode called Bedknobs and Boomsticks with Bruce Campbell. Scooby and Shaggy could go shopping for new beds and Bruce is the sales guy, until....

So, i know i'm running 2 threads of thought around here. SD: Coast to Coast and these movie ideas. I say if it's going to involve a celebrity, the money is best invested in a deeper storyline. I don't know if we have the concentration of minds like 'back in the day' to pull off the New SD Movies again and have them meet all of those celebrities each week and keep the stories strong, even if the celebrities persona itself lends to the creative process. Also, there's $$$

true, the collinsport-darksshasdows would be cool- there were 2 dark shadows tv series and the recent film which was good. i agree a new sd movies like setup wont work, nor would say bringing back all of scoobys relatives, like in the 70s and 80s. perhaps having dixie doo scooby dum,or scooby dee appear, but since hes got about 20 cousins it wouldnt work to bring them all in. unless the gang has to unravel a season long plot involves a doo family treasure or something..

Yeah, i'm thinking of Scooby Doo meets contemporary goth/horror/personalities. Dark Shadows deserves to be honored if they can pull it off. There's always Willy and Josette to let them out, then, finding that Barnabas needs them to solve whatever, not knowing they might get I-Ching'd into the past, etc. Dark Shadows is not a perfect fit, but, it's been done. I think a respectful jest of the series can be had if they solve things by predicting where and when Angelique will reappear and for what (Revenge, nah!). I dunno, something maybe. The series ending was quite an issue. I have the entire coffin set and i'm not sure if there was any resolution, maybe in graphic novels. BUT, I'm sure there could be some respectful, playful jest to be had. I'll have to give it some thought. I wish i could get a job writting/brainstorming this stuff. I've got an entire DBZ series draft real friends of mine said 'Hide this and get Nippon to look at it someday, because DAMN we'd like to see that on screen. I liked it, but, i've put it in hiding as they said, rofl. So, back to scooby. Elvira is a MUST DO. That's just got to happen. Bruce Campbell as well. Everyone's said Rob Zombie as far as creating an episode, but, how about the gang investigating his Mansion/whatever? Marilyn Manson ... i dunno
Anyone want to contribute to this theme?
I'd say the family can be worked in during the Coast to Coast tv series idea. Scooby Dum gets way to little work.

So, I added a Poll above guys. I thought of what's unique about Alice Cooper. Driving up through Pittsburgh a couple of years back, I realized he was doing the radio show. So, I figured i'd pick up on that aspect. Ofcourse, No More Mr Nice Guy and Feed My Fankenstein among others are ripe for scooby music.
I was thinking of how to run into Ozzy. Then, I had thoughts of Murder On The Orient Express... then i knew i had to get rid of the Murder thing! ... Crazy Train Caper. I'm not so sure of this though, as it's hard to play with the linear space of the train. But, I could always just drop the train..
I was trying to think of the funniest thing in years which would go with Scooby... and, it hit me. Fluffy! So, Gabriel Iglesias does standup... so, then, i figure we'd have a haunted building that hosts a standup comedy show... Honestly, i'm also leaning towards having Letterman on here and making the Ed Sullivan Theater a haunted attraction as well. But, Fluffy is kid friendly and maybe the funniest man on the planet at the moment.
There's so much material in Collinsport that It's not that I don't know where to begin... it's that i could begin ANYWHERE... The Blue Whale? The Collinsport Inn... Breakdown outside the gates to the Old House... Give a lift to a hitchhiking Brunette with a mysterious past who's going to her new job at this huge mansion on the outskirts of town and could maybe use some other workers, so the gang gives her a lift to find out... VERY oldschool style on that one, kind of lifted from Laurel and Hardy.

I picked Macabre Movie Mayhem with Elvira, although I also love the Stand Up Scarefest with Gabriel Iglesias!

It's an open poll, you can vote for up to all of them.
Doo, does the poll just end on it's own one day or do I control it somehow since I started it?

I love the Dark Shadows Idea that could be mined for seasons.. Okay, i'm laughing... Scooby Dum as a pet in Collinsport. I was thinking of having both Matthew Morgan and Willy coexist for the sake of this incarnation. Maybe Matthew Morgan's dog? Or, he could be the resident pooch at The Collinsport Inn and beg outside the Blue Whale? This lets him scope out the happenings... Yeah, Them in Collinsport could have to be a several part miniseries, rofl!

sure, we could have both him and dixie be in it. when was the last time we had more than one scooby relative in an episode together? back in early 80 maybe. i just didnt like dee as the obvious damselin distress love interest that she was. having dum se scary things and reak out would be great.. i mean collinsport is full of ghost werewolves vampires witches, you name it..

Of those that I could recognise I pick Alice Cooper, the guy has a good head on his shoulders and would work well with Velma in the clues department. I think he'd also be good at calming Shaggy and Scooby.

Hmmm, I'm seeing Dum as almost Apathetic though... this time. So, Dixie is @ The Inn with Maggie and Dum is with Matthew Morgan? Those 2 could cover all of the town gossip for the Gang with that kind of arrangement.
